How we helped a multi-award winning full-service wedding group replace a self-built website with a smart, clear online presence that finally communicated everything they offer.
Just About Weddings is not a typical wedding planning company. Nick and his son Alex have built something genuinely unusual in the wedding industry: a full-service group that doesn’t just plan your day but can supply almost everything that goes into it. The planning and coordination, the food, the drinks, the photography and film, the floristry and décor, the hair and beauty, the entertainment. And for couples who want to hand over as much as possible in one go, curated bundles that bring multiple services together under a single trusted team.
The awards tell part of the story. Just About Weddings has been named the UK’s Best Full Service Wedding Specialist for three consecutive years in the Innovation and Excellence Awards, Wedding Planning Company of the Year for four years running in the Global Wedding Awards, and has picked up numerous Hitched Awards and more besides. They’ve planned weddings across the UK and internationally, in Greece, Thailand, and across Europe, and the reviews they’ve collected speak consistently of a team that is warm, thorough, and exceptional to work with.
But awards are one thing. Getting a couple who’s never heard of you to understand, within the first few seconds of landing on your website, that you can handle everything from the flowers to the film to the food – that’s a different challenge. The old website, which Nick had built himself, simply wasn’t doing that. It was a reasonable effort, but it didn’t communicate the depth or breadth of what Just About Weddings offers, and it didn’t project the confident, polished image that an operation of this calibre warranted. Nick came to Three Girls Media to put that right.
The central challenge of the web design was clarity — specifically, how to present a genuinely comprehensive range of services in a way that landed immediately and felt exciting rather than overwhelming. A couple planning a wedding is already managing considerable complexity; the website needed to simplify their decision, not add to it.
We structured the site around the services themselves, giving each one: wedding planning, destination weddings, food, drinks, photography and film, floristry and décor, hair and beauty, entertainment, and bundles a dedicated page with its own content and visual treatment. The aim was for every page to feel considered and premium, because the quality of the presentation needed to match the quality of what Nick and Alex actually deliver. Running through the whole site was the idea of Just About Weddings as a group: an integrated team capable of working together seamlessly across every element of a wedding, not a directory of separate suppliers who happen to know each other.
The homepage was built around first impressions. Couples arriving from search or word of mouth needed to understand within seconds that this was something different – a full-service operation with the awards, the experience, and the testimonials to back it up. The enquiry process was made as frictionless as possible, with a clear form that captured the relevant information upfront so Nick and Alex could respond to every lead with meaningful detail rather than a back-and-forth of preliminary questions.
The SEO foundations were built in from the start, with keyword research targeting the searches that engaged couples make when they’re actively planning — both domestically and for destination weddings, given how significant that side of the business has become. Nick and Alex have now planned weddings from Thailand to Greece to the US, and the SEO strategy was built to reach couples thinking about their day wherever in the world they’re considering.
Throughout the build, the tone stayed warm and aspirational because wedding planning at its best is an emotionally exciting process as much as a logistical one, and the website needed to carry that feeling. The copy and design worked together to give potential clients a genuine sense of the joy and care that Nick and Alex bring to every wedding, before they’d ever spoken to the team.
Just About Weddings now has a website that communicates what the business actually is: a multi-award winning, genuinely full-service group capable of handling everything from the first pour of prosecco to the last frame of film. Couples arriving on the site can quickly understand the breadth of what’s available, explore each service in detail, and make an enquiry with confidence that they’re talking to a team who can deliver at the highest level.
The clarity that was missing from the self-built site is now there. Potential clients who previously might have assumed Just About Weddings was simply a planning service can see, page by page, that the offer goes far beyond that — and that bringing multiple services together under one roof isn’t just convenient but likely to produce a more cohesive, beautifully executed day. The bundles section in particular gives couples a clear, tangible way to understand the value of working with the whole group rather than piecing together individual suppliers.
For Nick and Alex, the website has given them something they’ve deserved for a while: a digital presence that matches the reputation they’ve spent years building. The warmth, passion, and attention to detail that their clients talk about in review after review now comes through in the site itself — and prospective couples get a genuine sense of who they’d be working with long before they ever pick up the phone.
