How we helped Dr Dora Perger launch her integrative medicine practice with a website that was unmistakably her own — calm, patient-centred, and built to serve everyone who needed it.
Taking over an established practice is a particular kind of challenge. The Natural Practice had been running in Winchester since 1987 – nearly four decades of patients, relationships, and clinical reputation built by Dr David Owen. When Dr Dora Perger founded Gentle Breeze following David’s retirement, she was stepping into a legacy she respected deeply, while also stepping forward with her own vision for what the practice could become.
Dora brings together conventional medical understanding and complementary approaches in a model of care that puts the whole patient – mind, body, and spirit are at the centre of every consultation. She practises homoeopathy, works alongside a network of trusted complementary therapists, and offers in-depth clinical assessments for individuals and families across a wide range of conditions, from chronic fatigue and hormonal concerns to gut problems, cardiovascular conditions, and mental health. It is a model that takes time, care, and a genuine relationship with each patient to do well.
The website needed to reflect all of that, and serve several distinct audiences at the same time. Prospective patients — many of whom might be unfamiliar with homoeopathy or integrative medicine — needed to feel welcomed and reassured, and to find clear explanations of what Dora’s approach involves and how it might help them. Existing patients needed straightforward access to the online dispensary for prescription ordering. Health professionals considering collaboration needed content specific to their context. And the overall design needed to feel unmistakably Dora’s own — calm, thoughtful, and personal — distinct from the practice that came before while building naturally on the trust that legacy carried.
Absolutely delighted with the website Three Girls Media designed for my business. I loved the branding ideas and overall image they suggested for it and I’ve had excellent feedback and lots of new customers. Thanks so much.
We started the web design with structure, because a website serving multiple audiences with different needs can quickly become confusing — and confusion in a healthcare context is particularly costly. A visitor who can’t find what they need quickly is likely to leave before they reach the point of booking. We mapped the site architecture around each distinct journey: the curious new patient exploring what integrative medicine might offer; the returning patient accessing the dispensary; the GP or complementary therapist looking to understand Dora’s collaborative model; and the family seeking support for a child or older relative.
The design itself was led by tone and feel as much as structure. A practice like Gentle Breeze requires a website that feels genuinely different from a conventional medical site – not clinical and transactional, but warm, thoughtful, and deeply personal. We worked with Dora to develop a visual identity and written voice that reflected her approach: unhurried, careful, and patient-centred. The homepage opens with her own words about the way she works, because in integrative medicine the relationship with the practitioner is the whole point. and giving patients a sense of Dora as a person, before they ever book, is part of how that relationship begins.
Explaining the approach clearly was one of the central challenges. Homoeopathy and integrative medicine are subjects that benefit from careful, honest presentation – particularly for visitors arriving with an open mind but limited knowledge of either. We gave each strand of the practice its own space: a dedicated Approach page explaining Dora’s philosophy and methodology; a Complementary Therapies section covering the broader suite of treatments available through her therapist network; and a thorough FAQs section addressing the questions new patients most commonly ask. A Collaboration page set out how Dora works alongside GPs and other practitioners, and what that relationship looks like in practice, giving health professionals the information they needed to refer with confidence.
The dispensary integration allowed existing patients to order prescriptions online, a functional layer that required careful thought about how it sat within the broader site experience and easy to find for those who needed it, without dominating the design for those who didn’t. Online booking was integrated throughout, making the step from reading about the practice to scheduling a first assessment as straightforward as possible.
Gentle Breeze now has a website that is unmistakably Dora’s – calm, personal, and clearly different from a conventional medical practice. It explains a model of care that takes some effort to understand, without oversimplifying it, and does so in a way that gives prospective patients the information and confidence they need to take the next step. The multiple-audience structure works well in practice: new patients, returning patients, and health professionals each find what they need without having to navigate around content that isn’t for them.
The dispensary and online booking integrations have made the administrative side of the practice easier to manage, freeing Dora to focus on what she does best. The Collaboration page has opened the door to referral relationships with other practitioners — an increasingly important part of how integrative medicine practices grow their patient base in a sustainable way.
For Dora, the website also represents something beyond its practical function. Gentle Breeze marks the next chapter for a practice with roots going back to 1987, and the new site is a clear expression of her own approach, values, and identity as a practitioner. Getting that balance right — honouring the legacy while making the practice unmistakably hers — was the most meaningful part of the project.
