New Town Nurseries

Nursery Web Design for New Town Nurseries

New Town Nurseries are two of the most established nurseries in Edinburgh, and the original nursery in Dean Terrace has just celebrated its 20th anniversary.

The nursery's proprietor, Yvonne McLellan approached Three Girls Media for the new website as she had heard of our extensive nursery web design experience working with nurseries and daycare providers around the country.

The brief started with the creation of branding as the existing logo, which was four child characters, had been hand drawn when the first nursery opened.  We created new "New Town" characters and have used them extensively throughout the website.  The graphics have also been adapted for signage, uniforms, letterheads, business cards and brochures.

The nurseries also required a Parent Zone, a protected area of the website where parents whose children attended the nurseries could access password protected pages containing news, photographs and other sensitive information.

New Town Nurseries is in fact two settings, and as is often the case with "groups" of this size, Yvonne required one website to serve both nurseries.  Two distinct areas have been set up - one for each setting with separate pages showing the teams at each nursery, maps, contact forms and even separate news sections.  The Parent Zone is similarly divided so that parents of children at one setting only see the news and information which is relevant to them.

The nursery website also features a scrolling sample of menus, information on fees and a gallery showing off the extensive facilities that both nurseries offer.

Yvonne, her staff, and parents of children at the nurseries love the new websites.  Read the wonderful comments that she made here.
